This year marks America's 250th anniversary. Morrisville didn't just witness that founding moment—we helped shape it. The planning, the people, the decisions that led to 1776... our story is woven into that history.
Here's what we know: Robert Morris—one of only two people to sign the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, AND the Articles of Confederation—was a principal owner of Summerseat Manor. George Washington used this National Historic Landmark for Revolutionary War strategy. And Morrisville came within two votes of becoming the capital of the United States.
Two votes. That's how close we came to changing everything.
