Welcome to Imagine Morrisville
This year marks America's 250th anniversary—celebrating the moment our nation was born. But the work began long before the signing. Here in Morrisville, founding fathers planned, strategized, and shaped the revolution that would change everything.
Summerseat Manor wasn't just a beautiful estate. It was a place where history was made. George Washington planned Revolutionary War strategy here. Robert Morris—one of only two people in history to sign all three founding documents—called it home. And when Congress debated where to establish the nation's capital, Morrisville lost by just two votes.
Two votes. Washington, D.C. would have been here.
Throughout 2026, we're honoring this legacy with commemorations, reenactments, and the unveiling of Morrisville's complete historical story. Stay tuned—there's so much more to share.
